Jesse

Jesse is from the northwestern tribal area and is one of the 4,000 wild horses pulled from the lands in the past 4 years. He came to HAPI along with 4 other wild native mustangs. We began a Mustang Makeover in June of this year and while Jesse started with a trainer, the time needed to work with him became too much for the brave individual. Brave, because these horses were completely unhandled, strong smart and very fearful of people. It was no fault of Jesse’s! He is beautiful and has become more willing over the summer, with recent progress made with him taking treats from your hand. Super exciting! Jesse has someoone currently working with him – they are making great progress! We’d love to see him follow in the footsteps of his fellow mustangs and find his forever home too!
