Seen Through Horses Campaign – launching May 1-31, 2023 – Mental Health Awareness Month.
HAPI Trails invites you to join the Seen Through Horses Campaign and become a fundraising participant.
Driggs, Id – April 18, 2023 — Horses can make a much-needed difference for the mental health challenges so many in our world face. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abused, abandoned, and neglected horses.
HAPI Trails Board Chair and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Jen Carter, maintains a partnership with the Idaho Veterans Affairs Clinic to provide streamlined, easily accessible, mental health services to local and regional Veterans. We also accepted client referrals from the Teton Valley Mental Health Coalition, Teton Valley Health, and the Family Safety Network, as well as providing services for various Employee Assistance Programs, church, and youth groups.
HAPI Trails is among 65 nonprofit organizations convening as benefactors in the Seen Through Horse Campaign, a peer-to-peer campaign launching May 1-31, 2023 to raise funds and improve access to mental health services and programs incorporating horses.
The Seen Through Horses opportunity was brought to our attention by past Board Member, Cat Caldwell Meyers, who has expanded her own work with horses at her home in Connecticut. She thought this might be a good fit for HAPI Trails, and we are pleased did. We’ve been looking for ways to expand our EAP programming, but with limited time, awareness, and funding, it just hasn’t been possible.
“It seemed like the perfect opportunity to share with our community how horses can be incorporated into various human health and wellness services. We needed the support that Horses for Mental Health and the Seen Through Horses program is providing – from marketing and communications to sponsorship and national awareness.” – Julie Martin, ED
Donations raised will directly go towards impacting our organization, programs, and services including, establishing multi-day workshops to help create connections for individuals, building confidence for kids, supporting Veterans, and empowering women.
As we galvanize the equine and mental health sectors around one goal, we encourage you to choose HAPI Trails to support before and during the campaign, May 1-31, 2023 by https://www.classy.org/team/489266, and setting a fundraising goal or making a one-time donation.
Together we can make a bigger impact fundraising together than if it were done alone.
